Look, Stranger!

100 years ago, the question of people’s role in the mechanical age was tackled on the Bauhaus stage in both artistic and experimental terms. Through “Look, Stranger!” 2019- Serendipity Arts Festival , we tried to reimagine the exhibition spaces melding it with the core philosophy of the iconic Film und Foto exhibition, Stuttgart,1929. This was our take on the 100 year old Bauhaus Design Movement and the 1920s New

Vision aesthetics. This exhibition was designed and executed with Ant Studio and SAF New Delhi.

Featuring over 35 artists from across SouthAsia, the exhibition presented an extended dialogue around the shadow lines of lens-based practices that were influenced by the technological ethos of the turn of the last century.

The exhibition spread out over an area of over 15,000 sq. ft, and the installations in every room were designed understanding the idea behind the artists artworks enhancing their works and adding a physical and spatial dimension to it. Here’s an ode to The Legendary Bauhaus Movement which completed 100 years in 2019 !
